OFB Beerlab is the heartbeat of the Quality Assurance program at O’Fallon Brewery. It is a state-of-the-art brewing laboratory that supports the production of O’Fallon brands as well as those of our brewing partners.
Making great beer is hard work and making that same great beer consistently is even harder. Great decisions (and sometimes even tough decisions) should be based on accurate and reliable data. We have the tools and experience to help you make more informed decisions.
OFB Beerlab is equipped with the means to help your brewery get the details you need from basic analytics to a full-scale infection workup. We have industry-leading Anton-Paar analyzers including the DMA 4500 M-EC Alcolyzer and CboxQC with piercer for packaged air analysis. We have a full micro program complete with real-time qPCR.
Jason worked in various laboratory roles over the years until finding his true calling in beer. After working in the Packaging Quality Assurance lab at AB. he went on to earn a certificate in brewing from Siebel. Jason started in a full-time brewing role at O’Fallon and was tasked with building up the quality program. When he’s not teaching Sam the ways of the force or helping plan the future of the brewery, Jason likes to complete projects around the house and play golf.
Student. Philosopher. Beer Nerd. Sam started at O’Fallon in packaging and transitioned into the lab. Sam is currently finishing his studies in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. When he’s not analyzing beer or studying, he likes hiking and good conversation over beers.
